Opis
The Orchestration Service provides automation and workflow management capabilities for complex data and AI workloads executed on the SLAIF infrastructure. It enables users to define, schedule, and manage multi-stage workflows that combine data ingestion, processing, model training, evaluation, and deployment. The service ensures reliable and efficient execution of interconnected tasks across heterogeneous environments, including cloud infrastructure, HPC resources, and containerized platforms. It supports automated workflow execution, dependency management, and job scheduling, allowing users to build reproducible and scalable data pipelines. Repetitive processes such as dataset preparation, periodic model retraining, data synchronization, and scheduled analytics tasks can be automated. The orchestration system also includes monitoring and failure-handling mechanisms that allow workflows to be retried or resumed, while integration with the broader SLAIF platform enables coordinated execution across compute clusters, cloud services, and AI pipelines. Key technologies include OpenStack compute services for provisioning compute resources, Kubernetes for container orchestration and resource scheduling, Kubeflow Pipelines for orchestrating machine learning workflows, KServe for model serving, Argo Workflows/Apache Airflow for Kubernetes-native workflow execution, and Helm and Kubernetes operators for deployment automation. The service integrates with monitoring and logging systems to provide observability of workflow execution and operational status.
